Dear Community,
how to handle preset 1.4 Jazz Vocals A in spacedesigner. Its got an echo. What settings would be useful here to make it reverb only?

Re: Logic 10.4 - Spacedesigner - Preset 1.4 Jazz Vocals A
the echo is part of the convolution IR (-> use another preset without echo)
you could set the IR offset to something like 67.0 ms which cuts off the first 2 delay echos

there are others which dont have these initial delays. What is the use of it in the IR?

Dear muki,
THX again. IR offset (72.6ms here now) does not really work. Jazz Hall Preset includes a delay. Maybe you can check on it. The reverb part is cool though as I would intend it. Maybe there is some knobs to turn off a faulty set delay in the IR GUI or so?

Re: Logic 10.4 - Spacedesigner - Preset 1.4 Jazz Vocals A
those delay spikes are integral part of the IR recording
there is no way to turn them off

Re: Logic 10.4 - Spacedesigner - Preset 1.4 Jazz Vocals A
... I would tell my sound eng to take the delay instance out in production, when I would hear them right on spot hopefully. Just confusing getting delay in a reverb preset...Anyways
how to acces the IR´s wavefile to make corrections on it ( pulling the spikes out)? Unfortunately I ran into .SDIR files which cant be edited per se.
Some quote I found on .SDIR:
If any program can somehow convert or export .sdir files, it would be Apple Logic Pro from which these file originate. Export to PCM format (.wav, .wave) looks like possible audio conversion, unfortunately we weren't able to determine whenever sdir to wav conversion is actually possible.
THX for your help!
